This week I wanted to explore a building on the edge of Jonestown that seems to fill a much-needed gap. I keep hearing that the youth need more activities, more options to keep them off the streets. The Under Armour House at Fayette seems to be striving to do just that. The Living Classrooms Foundation and Under Armour have collaborated to create the UA House at Fayette.
The center provides year round programming for elementary, middle, and high school students outside of school hours. This is just the sort of facility that Jonestown and the whole city need more of in Baltimore. We need places for our kids to go and have consistent role models, to push and drive the next generation of citizens.
